A widely believed and incredibly common popular myth is that the Earth's massive oceans are deeply blue simply because they magically act exactly like a massive, global watery mirror perfectly reflecting the gorgeously bright blue daytime sky. While surface-level reflection undeniably plays a noticeably tiny role right at the water's exact surface, the absolute true physics taking place deeper down below are far more deeply fascinating and structurally complex.
